Michelle, I can't make the Clybourn ride today, but I wish I could because I ride daily on that street. Just wanted to throw in my $0.02: (1) it would be really nice to have bike markings through the intersections, especially big ones like Ashland, and (2) I would note that the area around Diversey has so much off-street parking (Costco, bank, etc) that no one ever (I mean never, ever) parks on the street between Wrightwood and Diversey. Not sure what to do about #2 but it seems all cyclists just ride in the parking zone, and use the bike lane as a buffer. Maybe not the worst situation, but the space probably could be used more efficiently.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Thanks for the input, Scott. It was a good ride, and reinforced to me my original opinions on Clybourn, including that the intersections are far from ideal. We'll be editing and posting the video in the near future. -- Michelle
